About Melanie Morlan
Melanie has a dual emphasis Masters degree from Gonzaga University and is a couples therapy specialist (http://couplestherapyspokane.wordpress.com/).

She has worked in the field of Sports Medicine/Athletic Training for 20 years. She holds a BS in Athletic Training (a six-year program incorporating a 1500 hour internship). She also practices as a wellness consultant for individuals and businesses.

As an endurance sport specialist, she worked for the U.S. Olympic Committee. After 11 successful and very exciting years, primarily with the sport of cycling, including the 92′ Olympics, 4 world championships and two seasons with Lance Armstrong (1990-91), she retired, opting for a non-traveling lifestyle in order to raise a family.
- She is married to Christopher Morlan (www.morlanarchitect.com).. She lives in beautiful Eastern Washington with her husband and 11-year-old son.
- She opened Associates For Health and Wellness, a complementary health care clinic, in Spokane in 1998, adding a Wellness Consulting Business in 2007.

- Volunteer Commitments: Regional Leader for the LiveSTRONG Foundation. Her focus is cancer survivor, and political advocacy.www.laf.org
- Business Consulting: Currently developing and implementing the third year of a Complementary Therapies and Wellness Activity Program with Cancer Patient Care. Funded by a grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation Eastern Washington Affiliate. www.cancerpatientcare.org
- Honored with the Washington State Marriage and Family Therapy scholarship award for 2010 for academic achievement and community service work and the Gonzaga University Travel Scholarship for National presentation.
